Biography
For Yolanda Marant, gospel music is both a personal testimony and a family legacy. The granddaughter of the late Rev. Frank and Callie Earl, Yolanda has served faithfully as a vocalist, praise and worship leader, and background singer—always willing to lend her voice, gifts, and creative expertise to others. Affectionately known as “Wildpraize,” she carries a compassionate, sincere, and unrestrained sound that shifts atmospheres. Her musical roots were cultivated by her late mother, Malliah, and extended through the influence of her aunts and uncles, members of the celebrated group The Earl Singers.
As Yolanda’s passion for music deepened, she served with ministries such as Bethlehem Baptist Church, the late Pastor Yvonne McCoy and The Voices of Faith, and Michael Williams and Eternal Life, each shaping her unique sound. Inspired by gospel greats like Keith Pringle, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and James Moore, her love for contemporary gospel led her to collaborate and share the stage with artists including Le’Andria Johnson, Lamar Campbell, Kurt Carr, Crystal Aikin, Maurice Rogers, San Franklin, Vickie Winans, The Clark Sisters, Cedric Shannon Rives, and Michelle Prather.
Yolanda has graced major platforms such as The Stellar Gospel Music Awards Weekend, The National Baptist Convention, The Gospel Music Workshop of America, The AIM Convention, The Black Honors, The Lion King, and the Denver Jazz & Blues Festival. Over the past decade, God’s favor has carried her internationally—serving as a vocal instructor in Osaka, Japan, and touring Europe as a featured lead and background vocalist.
In 2006, Yolanda launched Wildpraize Music & Media, Inc.—a design and marketing firm committed to uplifting faith-based brands, artists, and small businesses. Her passion for music and media aligned even more deeply when she joined Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling, where she has faithfully served for over five years as a member, lead vocalist, creative designer, and now, Creative Director of Marketing. Yolanda was honored to serve under the late Kevin Lemons until his passing in 2023 and continues to carry the vision forward under the leadership of Tiunna Lemons.
